Anthony Poggioli is a PhD student in the microMégas team of the Laboratoire de Physique Statistique of the Ecole Normale Supérieure (ENS), Paris. He earned his bachelor (2012) and master of science (2015) degrees in environmental engineering at the University of Washington in Seattle, USA, with a research focus on high Reynolds number stratified flows in the environment. Afterwards, he studied physics at the ENS, earning the Diplome de lENS in physics (2017). His research is focused on the theoretical description and experimental realization of novel ionic transport processes—processes inspired by both electronics and biological ion transporters—in nanofluidic devices.
