Antoine Niguès

After studying at the Université de Bretagne Sud in Lorient and at the Université Joseph Fourier in Grenoble, Antoine Niguès obtained his doctorate in physics at the Institut Néel in 2012. He then joined Lydéric Bocquet's team at the Institut Lumière Matière in Lyon. In September 2014, Antoine Niguès joined the Laboratoire de Physique Statistique of the Ecole Normale Supérieure de Paris.
His research is at the interface between several fields: solid state physics, nanoscience and soft matter. He develops unique experimental systems to study physics at the nanoscale. Having been trained in the precise measurement of surface forces, he is now interested in the more fundamental aspects of matter.
